Unix commands to check sequence order

Question

hi!

i have one CDR generator. I'm using one default application to generate reports on daily Basis. Application can generate sequence numbers from 0000 to 9999 then again starts with 0000.

In this case,

DAY 1 :
START FILE NO : 0000
END FILE NO : 2999
TOTAL FILES : 3000

DAY 2 :
START FILE NO : 3000
END FILE NO : 5999
TOTAL FILES : 3000

DAY 3 :
START FILE NO : 6000
END FILE NO : 8999
TOTAL FILES : 3000

DAY 4 :
START FILE NO : 9000
END FILE NO : 1999
TOTAL FILES : 3000

In the above case, How can i check the sequence order generated is correct & also count the total files generated by using commands in the platform of Unix on Daily Basis.
