best way to parse analytics to find referrer?

for example...

if(isset($_GET['utm_blah'])) { $referrer = $_GET['utm_blah'; }
else { $referrer = $_SERVER['HTTP_REFERER']; }

looking to parse referrer sent by google adwords, or twitter, or email, ... etc. thanks!
