Dear all,

I have videos that should be run on android. and those videos will be host on web server - so my android app will hit the web server to play the video.

I try several way to encode the video and the result is not good enough, sometimes the sound and the video is not align or sometimes the video is not shown but i can still hear the audio, or some is work on one handset but not in another handset :(

I've tried handbrake, format factory, and many else free software from internet, no none is good so far (or i miss setting it).

okay, so my questions are:

  1. what is the proper setting for the video encoder?
  2. is there any limitation? - actually my video is in portrait dimension
  3. what is the best software to encode? (free? :D) - can i just use adobe media encoder?

Thank you guys, Regards,

This isn't really a programming problem. You should use Handbrake, with device specific settings which you can Google for.
