fullcalendar is not excluding categories

This is the code on my page

{events_calendar; categories="ladies-1st-xi-fixtures"; exclude="ladies-2nd-xi-fixtures"; height=600; header->left="prev"; header->center="today, title"; header->right="next"; weekends=false}

however the category ladies-2nd-xi-fixtures is still showing in the full calendar!!

Any suggestions?
