Write an driver for othter HDD format then Fat32 for PS3 (Linux) ?

Hi together,

at the moment, Playstation 3 only accept Fat32-formatet HDDs.

Since a few weeks a lot about jailbreak and homebrews is doing in the PS3-Szene, so we can execute unsignied code.

My goal is to write a driver for Playstation 3 that allows any other formated HDDs then FAT32, because the 4GB limit is very low.

Any Idea if its possible and how I can start?
