VMWare Server 2.0.2, VM can't find name of physical machine

Question

I'm using VMWare Server 2.0.2. My VM is a WinXP VM. The physical machine is running Windows 7 64 bit. The VM can't ping the name of the physical machine, though it can ping other machines on the network running Windows XP. The physical machine can ping the VM. I'm using a wireless router as my DNS server. The other WinXP machines on the network can see the physical Windows 7 64 bit machine.
