I've been tasked with setting up a Google Analytics account for a potential client on their site, which unfortunately is powered by some Site Builder software.

I eventually found where the template tags are located in the jumble of pages, and pasted my GA code in as you would normally.

I then go to Google and check trackings been installed - it hasn't.

Sighing quietly, I view the Source of the page(s) in Google Chrome, and the code is quite visible. And now, the mystery deepens.

Viewing the source in Firefox or IE results in there being absolutely nothing. The code is not in the source.

I'm reluctant to post a link due to client-y/employee-y related matters, but does anyone have a clue as to how this is possible?

I repeat - the GA code is visible in Chrome. In IE and FF the code has been completely ignored.

Thanks.

Try clearing your cache. The likeliest answer is that IE and FF are showing you cached versions of the page; there are no scenarios where HTML would be included in one browser's source but not another, unless you have server side scripting for specific browsers (which it sounds like you don't).

If that doesn't work, can you provide a link to the site?
