App can have multiple widgets. what do you mean by changing the size? Are referring to number of cells it can occupy in landscape and portrait? Here is a guideline on designing.

This will become more relevant as Android tablet pcs become more widely available. While Android 2.1 and 2.2 do not officially support tablets, with Android it seems the open-source OS has been used by many OEM manufacturers to create cheap android tablets.

Samsung already came out with its Galaxy Tab and others are bound to follow suit - being able to adjust or resize widgets will be an eagerly desired feature.
