Correlate NIC physical location to returned port index using Java

Hi there,

I am working on a product that has multiple NIC cards and would like to be able to programmatically determine which port is associated with each particular NIC, using Java. I have seen how it can be done using WMI, but would really like to be able to port my app. Any help is appreciated.
