Event Notification in iOS4

Hi All,

I want run my app after call ending or sms sending.

how i can do in iOS4 ?

I know if i run my app at background and then at time of call ending i can push my app in active state. But if their is any system notification event then i can run my app after catching this notification.

Is their any way in iPhone os which i use for this achieve.
