All,

One of my clients is requesting that all of it's technology vendors have taken a course in "secure coding practices."

That's obviously an enormous topic - not something you can master in a short class.

However - it's still probably a good idea to learn about some of the more obvious issues and vulnerabilities.

So, can anyone recommend a good online or offline course (hopefully in the Boston area) on this subject?

Some sort of industry-recognized certification would be a plus, but isn't a requirement.

Many thanks in advance!

SANS has training courses all over the place. Colleagues have had good experiences. There is one somewhat soon in Boston.

Being in Boston there are always the schools. The Harvard Extension School has a security class

There also seems to be an Information Security Users Group though I don't know anyone who has ever gone.
