Hello, Recently I have completed my Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science. And joined as a Software developer in a small Software firm. From my university days I am interested in Oracle but unfortunately I did not manage to learn it.I want to learn Oracle now.Which one will be better for me for starting?

I would try to get them both but if I had to choose I'd pick Oracle Developer. But only since I think it's more fun, I can't give you any empirical evidence that it's better or worse.

What do you think you'll be able to use more?

Edit: My common sense (or spider sense) tells me it would be better to begin taking Oracle Developer since that implies some administrative knowledge as well. At least I hope the course touches those areas since they can be quite important to the developer too.

Of course it's off topic. I need to reflect two seconds before answering sometimes.

Yes, I got it.Personally I am interested in Oracle developer course, but in my country there is more demand of DBA.I can realize that without enough knowledge in Oracle development,DBA can not progress. Thanks for sharing :)

Which one will be better? Given your specs are limited to "I am interested in Oracle", we have no idea.

But there's a good chance the admin course will concentrate more on the administration side while the developer course will concentrate more on how to write code for Oracle.

Given that this is a programming Q&A site and you're a developer, you'll probably want to aim for the developer course.

However, if you know very little about SQL, I'd concentrate on ensuring you learn that first. I'm not sure if your developer course would assume that knowledge as a pre-requisite and jump right into the development tools.

Actually I know little about SQL,I have learned and used SQL for some of my web based projects, where only the basics were used(select, where, group by,order by etc),thanks for your advice.I will concentrate on going deep and then start the developer course.
