Hi All:

Here is my problem:

I am a Sharepoint newbie, but ironically I am a Sharepoint Administrator right now? In my company we have around 200 employees. I created accounts for all of them, but I need to help them change their passwords as they prefer to use their favorite passwords. I was just wondering: is there any way they can change their passwords by themselves?

Perhaps this is just a dumb question, but I need help from your guys.

Any helps will deeply appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

My sharepoint site is integrated with Active Directory - That way I don't have to trouble myself with that sort of stuff.

Take a look at SharePoint User Change Password:

System requierement:

  • FrameWork 3.5
  • MOSS 2007 or WSS 3.0

Proprieties:

  • user can change domain password
  • write domain policy, when new password is wrong
  • show/hide text in textbox
  • Function User must change password at next logon

I hope this helps

If you use Active Directory and Outlook Web Access (or the Outlook client) there is a user interface for changing passwords.

I seriously doubt you 'found' anything, since it should now be a well-known fact that you work for the company that makes the product and is running around the SP forums and promoting that boosting-thing.

Your fishing for recommendations and false user recommendations is really just a slightly advanced form of spam and I am getting tired of it.

There is no problem recommending your product to people who need it, but you are writing fake questions under the pretense of being a novice user and then acting really surprised that you 'found' a product.

Wow! ... First I would like to commend Bjørn Furuknap for noticing Lee's blatant misuse of Stack Overflow. After reading Lee's previous comments, I would say he and his company (SharePointBoost) owe SO money for advertising. At this time, he has posted 25+ times and has always linked to SharePointBoost as being the solution to the problem.

We use multiple 3rd Party tools, but I can garantee that we will never use SharePointBoost after seeing their flagrant attempt at free advertising and misleading the SO user.

Shame on you Lee.Sharepoint and shame on you SharePointBoost!
