hi, I just wonder how important is my computer science GPA in terms of getting my first job? right now I only have a 2.5 GPA, which is kind of bad. can I just leave it out on my resume? do employers really care what my GPA is? I've heard stories of people getting into big name companies like Microsoft with 2.0 GPA.

When I was first applying for internships, and then later jobs, the career services at my university recommended leaving off your GPA if it was lower than a 3.0/4. I can't remember ever being explicitly asked my GPA, however, a few jobs would ask for my transcripts, so they could probably figure it out from them.

Employers look for what you know. What skills you have. Most of them don't care about your GPA. A good GPA is like a cherry on top of an Ice Cream. The Ice Cream looks good with the cherry. Even if there is no cherry, you will have the Ice Cream anyway.
