I have installed Virtual PC with Windows 2003 server and installed WSS 3.0 and MOSS 2007 in it. And in my XP i got visual 2010. i have copied all the SP dll files from c:\ windows\assembly of Windows 2003 server to c:\PF\CF\MS\WSE\12\ISAPI of my XP system. Now i am trying to create SP webpart in my VS2010 in XP but it says SP server not installed. Where i went wrong?

i have already gone through this site. but i thing that was throwing error was the reg file that i created from the code given, it was throwing error that only import binary registry. the other thing is that site was referring to VS2005 but i installed VS2010 in both XP and 2K3 server. so that too can be a clash.

Yeah thts true you would have to replace the VS 2005 entries with VS2010 Entries. Why don't you use VS2005 or 2008 which is best suited for development of MOSS 2007 webparts
