Hi Guys,

I'm finding a software for designing professional logos, logos to companies and other creative work, i need some recommendation from you guys about what software to use? can you guys suggest me some good software that can be used? is there any good opensource software for designing logos and other creative stuff?

If you're looking for open source, then Inkscape for vector and GIMP for raster are the way to go.

Otherwise, go for the usual suspects, Illustrator for vector and Photoshop for raster. They're not called «the usual suspects» for nothing.

Well, don't forget to accept it then. Also, you might want to take a look at Acorn — http://flyingmeat.com/acorn/

i'm on windows and mostly ubuntu.... not in mac, so Acorn will not be a solution for me... :( have to wait 8 mins to accept an answer... :(

Maybe Inkscape? It's an SVG generator. For art, I'd recommend CFDG.

Saying Inkscape is much an SVG generator is as reducting as saying highways are black stripes.

@Júlio: Can you do anything else with it than editing and rendering SVG in a WYSIWYG-fashion?
