It is not 'complete' and earns no money at the moment, however I think it is a good idea and the design is very good. It is backed by a SQL database and is written in PHP. ALL the design and coding are original (done by myself). I just don't have time to keep working on it, but it seems like a waste to let it die.

Given that the person who bought it would need to know PHP+SQL etc, and not just be a 'plug and play' web buyer, where should I sell it?

Thanks.

DigitalPoint Forums is an OK place for small websites (under $10K), SitePoint works for larger sites. If the site also has a good domain, you could try namepros.com or dnforum.com.

The market for half-finished websites is not as extensive as you might think. If you really believe in your project, your best bet really is to shepherd it to a stage where it makes money (or at least becomes popular.) Funnily enough, it will then become easier to sell.

Crazy how that works

You would probably need to find someone who is interested in the content / function of the site and try to sell it to them. Without specifics I doubt anyone can provide more information.

What about posting on some forums to see if anybody wants to help you finish the project while you maintain control? You could offer some sort of incentive for once it does start to make money. Passive income is an incredible thing!

It seems like now would be a good time to try and find a partner who knows PHP but might not have a job at the moment. A 50% share in a site that is making money is worth a lot more than a concept site.
