How to use apache2.3 mod_auth_form module with IBM Http Server 6.1

I want to use Apache's mod_auth-form module with IBM HTTP Server 6.1 (which is based on apache) but this module will be released with apache http server 2.3. The source code for this module is available in development trunk.

I haven't build/compiled any apache module. Can anyone let me know if it is possible to compile the mod_auth-form module and to use it with IBM Http Server? Will there any compatibility issue?
