port mfc pocketpc to xp embedded

Question

Hi,

I'm asked to port an existing PocketPC mfc app (lot's of forms and buttons) to XP embedded.

3 possible scenarios spring to mind:

1) I use some kind of tool or wizard and get the sources compiled for XP 2) I open a new MFC app in vis studio 2008 and form by form copy controls (gui) and code over and this way recreate the same stuff. 3) something else...

Has anyone done the same? Is possibility 1 something which can be done? Is MFC on the PocketPC basically the same as the XP counterpart?

Any thought ideas would be more than welcome!
