I am looking for a third party applcation that can be use as a donation tool for website and has to be hosted on its own....

Even if hosted on its own, it'll need a third-party payment processor to actually charge someone's credit card. You'd likely be much better off just using PayPal or Amazon Payments or a similar service.

Actually i do not know of a self-hosting application of such kind; Paypal seems to be good choice: .NET and Java and a couple of other interface (see here); and the manual for HTTPS API is a compact 14 page PDF.
