I am using Eclipse and every time code is created, @author is set to the value of ${user}. Unfortunately,${user} seems to contain my windows login id. Is there a way to override this through Eclipse? I couldn't find the option.

I actually just went and did this after posting this answer. That means I am now obligated to upvote the question as "helpful".

+1, but I also took the liberty to add an illustration. Feel free to revert to the previous version if you find the shortcut bit not needed.

I didn't think an illustration was needed (and I can't see either the one you posted here or the one in your answer), but thanks anyway. (For some reason, you remind me quite a bit of a programmer I've worked with a lot--and I don't think it's just because he lives in Toulouse.)

I write a lot of manuals and "step by step" installation procedures as a development architect. In my experience, an illustration is always needed ;)
