I'm developing a small iPhone VNC client and I was wondering what's the best and fastest way to render the image updates on the screen without freezing the UI?
I tried with CATiledLayer but my UIScrollView was very laggy during the updates...

What is more secure? VNC or Citrix or HTTPS
So they all have the same amount of security.
Don't they use the same encryption algorithms in they end?

I saw a lot of duplicate suggestions when I typed this in, but they didn't necessarily answer it fully...
I mean, it can't be that complicated to do, but it seems that log me in does it pretty quickly and there's not a whole lot of lag.

But I can't seem to find much about how the NX protocol actually works. I have heard it does something with sending X11 commands. But does this mean that the listening clients need to have an x server to run the actual commands and display them?
Basically, I am trying to figure out if it is possible to write an NX client for a web brows...
I have been curious about better ways to cross browser test than those screenshot services or maintaining my own array of VMs to VNC into. Then today I found crossbrowsertesting.com (which seems to allow you to connect from your browser via VNC to one of their machines running virtually any browser). This is really similar to a solution ...
I get a black screen with the above setup. I have tried RealVNC and TigerVNC clients too on windows with the same result.
Any ideas?
