Has anyone implement fingerprint recognition system in Java?

I have no idea for Java, but I think the main thing in fingerprint recognition is the methodolgy and not the programming language.
You should be able to do it with Neural Networks. You could, for instance, use Joone - Java Object Oriented Neural Engine
