I'm getting started in developing Mac software and would like to get some support from fellow developers.

So my question is this, where can I ask questions and get involved in the mac developer community online?

(I already know about the Apple Development Forums)

You have arrived my friend - this is an extremely friendly and helpful forum for all platforms - as best as I can tell.

thank you for the welcome.

Stack Overflow is a great place to get involved... there are some formidable Mac and/or Cocoa talents here. Also try the traditional places: CocoaDev, and the OmniForums (possibly the Eminence Grise of the mac dev forum set... I feel old just writing that).

My favorite source besides the docs are the Cocoa weblogs. Planet Cocoa aggregates some of them.

Apple's Cocoa mailing list is where I see the most action for desktop Cocoa, far more than here. The forums are probably the primary place to ask questions for iPhone stuff.

There are also IRC channels on freenode. webkit is great if you're using it. macdev always has knowledgeable people in it, though they may or may not feel like helping.

Cocoa Dev Central is a nice clearing house of Cocoa related developing info, with links to various blogs in the community.
