+1, a strong recommendation. I would however recommend to get the newest. The linked one is for J2EE 1.4 (Servlet 2.4/JSP 2.0) which is already replaced 4 years ago. Here's the one for Java EE 5 (Servlet 2.5/JSP 2.1) http://www.amazon.com/Head-First-Servlets-JSP-Certified/dp/0596516681. You can also wait for the new Java EE 6 (Servlet 3.0 / JSP 2.2) one to be released. Unfortunately I don't know a date.
