I am interested in calculation of the distance between two points on Earth defined by latitude and longtitude.
I checked your C# code and it seems helpful for me but I couldn't understand the unit of measurement of the result. It seems that it is not meters or miles. I will be grateful if you can help me with this.

Assuming you are talking about this answer and seeing that the final answer is equal to the calculated angle times the Earth equatorial radius in kilometers, I would assume the return value to be in kilometers as well.
EDIT: As a side note, the question about calculating the distance also specifies that the answer must be in kilometers.
