I have multiple monitors.

I use these utilities to help with window management:

  • UltraMon - a taskbar on each monitor

  • Taskix - click and drag to reorder taskbar buttons

  • GridMove - middle-click and drag to resize/reposition windows to half the screen

But they don't really play well with each other:

  1. Taskix doesn't allow me to move buttons on UltraMon's extra taskbars--only the primary monitor's taskbar.

  2. GridMove will resize/reposition windows behind UltraMon's extra taskbars. (I can fix this by right-clicking its system tray icon ans choosing Reload from the context menu. But I have to do it after each boot.)

Is there a single lightweight utility to do all these things?

I'm quite fond of MaxTo (http://maxto.net/).

I have 3 monitors, it works pretty well for me. Essentially you define maximize zones anywhere you want (and any size). When you maximize a window, it fills up the zone instead of the whole monitor.

I think it used to be free, looks like it's $10 now. But it's definitely worth it.
