I am uploading a picture to Share Point by using the normal multiple upload form. Once the picture is uploaded I return to a custom WebPart that lists the items. Clicking on the item brings up an javascript form which allows you to edit the meta information. You can then save this form using the UpdateListItems web service via the javascript form. The form is in "Update" mode. The form is checked out to the user,
The form is not saving the changes to the item.
If I edit the meta information using the standard screen then use my custom control after checking it in, the form changes are saved. The only difference I can see is that the item is not checked out.
Does anyone know of any problems when using the UpdateListItems when an item is checked out. Can anyone suggest where else the problem could be?
