Books for Email Marketing software development

Hey guys,

I've searched and searched and can't find anything on books for developing email marketing software. There are a bunch on CMS development amongst other things, but all I get are ads for email marketing software, not books on how to do it.

I'm looking for one on an advanced level preferably with PHP, MySQL (or PGSQL) in a Linux environment. You guys know of any?

Are you looking for sending mail to a bought mailing list, or to send emails to your users to include ads that you sell to others?

The second I can help with, the first I will not, and as said in the comments, plenty of how-to sites out there.

I am looking for books on the second one: emailing out to other users. Basically, yes a CMS, but for mass mailing to customers/leads etc. I am an advanced LAMP developer and am just looking for something to help with all of the advanced and specific aspects of developing a web-based email marketing program.
