I'm moving a weekly live radio show from Windows Media Server and am looking for an alternative to accomplish the same task. We are decommissioning the WMS box and would rather just run it on another platform. I know there is shoutcast and icecast2 but unless I'm missing something they do live streams of prerecorded material. We stream our show live weekly. People are listening as the show is going on.
Is there a decent way to accomplish this same task? Service or software is fine.
update: found out that "The SHOUTcast Radio system can deliver audio in a live situation, or can deliver audio on-demand for archived broadcasts." I'll take that into consideration but any other recommendations would still be appreciated.
