DISCLAIMER: I know that this question is probably not appropriate for StackOverflow, but I couldn't find any other "StackExchange" website that was fitting better (plus, there was a "certification" tag in here). Feel free to close this question (possibly pointing me to the right place) if this is the case. Thanks.

I would like to know some statistic that relate programming languages to certifications.

I'd like to know, for example, some information like:

  • How many programmers are (roughly) coding in Java/Erlang/C#
  • What's the trend of these languages

and, most important:

  • How many Java programmers (in percentage) have a Java certification? Same for .Net, etc.

Any link/resource/advise? Thanks.

For Microsoft technologies, try this:

Microsoft Certified Professionals around the world

Thanks a lot for your link. That is just a bit of what I'd need, though.

For programming trends, I suggest you check out:

It's pretty hard to get a total number of Java programmers, and I don't think Sun reveals how many people are certified.
