C/C++ h264 or ON VP6 open source video encoder with capability of turning bmp's/png's or jpegs into video frames

What do I need

  • Open Source Libs for encoding.
  • Tutorials and blog articles on How to do it, about etc.

PS It should be SMALL SIZE!) (Not a mountain like FFMPEG)

Well, if you compile ffmpeg with the right options it can be quite small ;-P, but it doesn't have h264 encoding anyway. Anyway, the standard h264 open-source encoder is x264, but note that it's GPL, so your app must be GPL, too. As far as decoding the jpegs and pngs there are numerous libraries to do that, and just toss them in as frames into the encoder. As far as ON6, I have no idea...

Is there h264 open-source encoder NOT GPL?)
Blender
h264 is a standard for video compression, not an encoder, and is not GPL. x264 (the open source h264 encoder) is GPL. Believe it or not, there is a painful but important difference.

I think both the OP and I understand that :-). Anyway, check here and see what meets your needs: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/H.264/MPEG-4_AVC#Software_encoder_feature_comparison
