I'm trying to find what market share each of the different BlackBerry models and/or OSes have. I've found similar resources for the iPhone (all OS versions and just V3.x OS versions) so I hope something is available.

At the moment our BlackBerry application is specified to support 8xxx and 9xxx models, and I want to know what proportion of BlackBerry users have those models.

I think knowing the market share for each BlackBerry OS version would allow me to work out what I need too, if anybody knows of those statistics?

Something like this? http://www.mobref.com/device/BlackBerry/marketshare

Here's a Google cached version of a collection of all of them on the same page. The original site (which should be part of the above) is currently reporting having problems with MySQL, but it looks like the kind of data you are looking for.

Per Wiklander's answer provides links to useful data on this. In case it helps anybody else I have put the data below, standardized as a proportion of the overall BlackBerry market share (3.25% of the WAP traffic to a number of websites).

These results are from October 2009 (the Storm 2 and Bold 9700 have only just been released, so expect these to change very soon!):

BlackBerry 9000 Bold 21.8%
BlackBerry 8900 18.2%
BlackBerry 8520 13.2%
BlackBerry 9530 Storm 10.8%
BlackBerry 8330 8.0%
BlackBerry 8310 6.2%
BlackBerry 9500 Storm 4.9%
BlackBerry 8320 4.9%
BlackBerry 9630 Tour 2.2%
BlackBerry 8130 1.8%
BlackBerry 8100 1.5%
BlackBerry 8220 1.2%
BlackBerry 8350 0.9%
BlackBerry 8120 0.6%
BlackBerry 8700 0.6%
BlackBerry 8300 0.6%
BlackBerry 8830 0.3%
BlackBerry 8230 0.3%
BlackBerry 8110 0.3%
BlackBerry 8703e 0.3%
BlackBerry 8820 0.3%
BlackBerry 8800 0.3%
all other models <0.3%

Here is an explanation where these stats came from.

Just one thing to note - these stats are taken from web logs which indicate the percentage of devices browsing the web. This may be completely different than the percentage of devices installing and running third party apps. For example, our app sees over 40% of our usage on a single BlackBerry model - the 8330. The next most popular device is the Storm. I can't release our actual numbers, but I just wanted to bring up the point that device breakdown for web usage may be different than device breakdown for app usage.

A good point. If anybody produces good, recent statistics for BlackBerry model market share for installed applications then I may change to accept that answer. Thanks!
