I want to resize a picture to smaller size and create it as unrelated to original sized picture. Currently I try to email a picture I have resized smaller, but it still contains too many mg to be accepted on email because it is still tied into the original sized pic.

You could try saving it in a different format. If it's a bmp and you save it as a png you could save a lot of space.

If you have photoshop, you can use the File => Save for Web option to reduce the size of the image considerably. Also you can reduce the compression quality. But by far, the most size reduction you'll get is by simply reducing the width/height.

The easiest way is to use KigoImageConverter. KigoImageConverter is a free Photo editing software, specializing in converting image format, changing image size and adding watermark on photos. Although this software is a freeware, it is really practical and easy to use. You can downlaod it at: http://www.kigosoft.com/kigo-image-converter/download.htm; Just have a try, and it will not let you down.
