illegible font in error messages of Flash Debug Player??

Having a strange issue with the font in the DebugPlayer error messages. For some reason the error messages are in a decorative and illegible font.

I have no idea how to change this.

I'm in latest OSX, with the latest version of the FP10 debug player installed.
