Consultant should be able to give you a migration plan, estimate hours and high/medium level tasks, tell you want other resources you may need (additional software, licenses, hardware requirements, etc), help you improve system performance, and identify potential enhancements in the process based on user interaction and feedback.

Company below is experienced in teaching and mentoring BizTalk as well as doing migrations.

Oh my god - they even have a book on how to interview for Biztalk positions. Questions to ask for idiot managers and answers to give for developers looking to make the big bucks. A closed shit cycle.

The following are the responsiblities of a Biztalk Consultant

BizTalk? What is it user for : used to integrate applications which communicate in XML.

  1. Define schemas (XSD) which define data formats for the specific applications. In other words put all the elements that you wanna integrate into a schema.

  2. Define Maps: A Map is a biztalk artifact which transforms data from one format to another, typically from external system to the one that Biztalk can understand and vice versa.

  3. Define End ports: End points in BizTalk are known as ports. A port defines a certain end point, through which data can either come in or go out.

  4. Define a Business Process (Orchestration): A Business Process is a certain operation on a schema or a set of data.

  5. Communicate with external partners: A Partners could be a vendor or a customer. The BizTalk system when build would automate all manual processes into automatic secure transactions.
