I'm wondering what sorts of application development platforms of a SaaS nature are available other than Force and Zoho?
Thanks, I think they have a ways to go in usability though...and need to support more languages.

Google just announced AppEngine for business. Maybe this will help out with the issues you've seen. http://code.google.com/appengine/business/

I suggest you to look at Viravis. It is a platform that helps business users to develop online database applications without programming. It has inheritance support, advanced report designer and multiple clients (windows, web and possible mobile clients like IPhone) to use with the application you develop.
