I just realized that I've been doing as much coding in Beyond Compare as in my IDE (Eclipse). I'm finding it's very handy to have two copies of my project and to be able to always see the diff between the last known good copy and the working copy.

However, BC isn't that great an IDE, it's merely a decent text editor. Eclipse has a Compare viewer but even it isn't near as good an editor as the regular view.

Does anyone know of a way to get a really good diff tool and IDE to play together in the same space?

BTW: I'm on Linux but answers for any system would be on interest.
