How do I remove flickering from image loads in Flash? in Action script 3

Hi,

I'm currently working on making a flash program that creates a movie out of a folder of images. There are buttons to control play, pause, stop, forward, reverse and the like. Its going great but when I play the sequence the image flicker from the loading time becomes almost seizure inducing. Each sequence is about 1000 images long so I don't know if embedding all the images is a good idea. I am currently using scrollpanes for the images but am open to anything that works.
