Are there any issues which might make MS's T4 Template code-generation system unsuitable for generating C++ code?

It can generate any text you want, including C++ code.

Yeah. Silly question I suppose. Although I did see that you can specify that the template language is either VB or C#. This relates presumably to automatic compilation of the output of the template?

Your templates are generated using C# or VB but I don't think this has anything to do with the output.
