Hi, we are trying to publish a free magazine with technical articles, papers and tutorials about mobile development. We decided to use latex instead of, ie. InDesign . Can anyone recommend some latex templates for journal/magazines as a starting point, so we don't have to build from scratch? Thanks

The R Journal has a nice template here. Ubuntu (and probably other distros) also has a package texlive-publishers that contains a Latex classes for several journals. Or if you have a journal in mind that you like check out the instructions for authors page, changes are that they have a latex class.
