I'd recommend the Stanford CS193P iPhone Application Development course, which you can find on iTunes University. Some great videos and materials there.

I'd recommend grabbing The iPhone Developer's Cookbook by Erica Sadun and Programming in Objective-C 2.0 by Stephen G. Kochan. There are many good internet resources too, such as:

• CocoaDevCentral, a collection of tutorials on the basics of C and Objective-C that you'll need for developing iPhone apps.
• iPhoneDevSDK, a forum with on-topic discussion ranging from coding to submission to the App Store to just general chat.
• Google, believe it or not, was a huge help to me when I first started learning Objective-C.
• And, of course, Apple's Introduction to The Objective-C Programming Language.

You should also learn how to use Apple's iPhone Reference Library as it has all the information that all the sites above have, just presented in a different format. Once you learn to read the documentation, everything begins to get much easier.
