iphone ios4 stats

Question

Hello

Does anybody know where can stats for ios be found? Percents of use for iOS4, iOS3 including per device/os version e.g. how many users have ios4 on iphone 3g, 3gs

I doubt many people have this information, other than agencies like AdMob or Flurry or Google Analytics. You might be able to find some web sites that collected some of that data while the users were visiting their sites.

If you are trying to determine whether or not to support iOS3 users... I'd say you probably should. I have many friends that are not going to upgrade to iOS4 because it really does nothing for them other than adding a new calculator icon.

Your best bet is to support iOS 3.0+, unless of course you're only using API that is available in iOS4

According to these data, currently, 50% of users have at least 4.0, 94% have at least 3.1.2, and 99% at least 3.0.
