The CFA designation is popular for asset management jobs. You could call it almost a requirement.

Those jobs tend to be somewhat lower-tech than the typical readership here -- think VBA macros. In that sense there is little overlap from there to straight-up IT.

In that sense it may be 'two steps' away for you. Something like a quant finance or computational finance program may be more appropriate.

I would recommend you to improve your English. Management people care about issues like proper capitalization.

Writing proper English is a habit and therefore also something you should do outside of the narrow confinement of your job.

English isn't my first language either and I'm sure I'm making a lot of mistakes. However fixing issues like capitalization and writing words out in full isn't hard to do.

Hello Christian.I am not going to make this kind of mistake again.Thank you very much for pointing it out.

Unless you work for a financial firm, I'd be tempted to suggest getting an MBA as a much better alternative to a CFA if you want to get into management and be an IT Director, CTO or CIO as knowing more about how to run a business may be very useful. I'm not saying a CFA would be a waste, but I do think there are other options to consider and would likely consider the MBA far better unless you are thinking of getting into software for financial advisors where the CFA may help provide some domain knowledge for what you could utilize.
