How to create gantt chart in iReport 3.7.*

I recently download iReport 3.7.4 after seeing that it has gantt chart feature.

However, after creating a new report with gantt chart, i am stuck on how to get the dataset. anyone out there have done gantt chart before with iReport 3.7.* ? please share.
