I have few years of software development experience in classic vb, asp to ASP.net and vb.net. And at this moment exploring F# and MVC, Windows phone 7 in my spare time because my company is unlikely going to use this technologies in near future

it doesn't take long time to understand and become relatively knowledgeable in these new technical frameworks - by reading books and Blogs.

As i have used Google extensively to understand and write my basic programmes (like Big boy MVC OR F# Survival Guide

However in the interview it's difficult to answer questions because - it's very hard to remember stuff and have always used google to find my solution.

So I am thinking to Start My Blog - to write my work on these framework, languages which i think should help me to land a new job easily.

Is it worth doing? or just a waste of time as technical material in my blog will be extracted from some other MVP blog sites or books (with my own thoughts and examples).

Do you suggest any other options here? thanks for your time

Writing a blog is fun and might be beneficial for your career. If you provide good content, it's definitely worth it.

Based on your post, I think English is not your native language. That's not a problem, but if you want to professionally benefit from your blog, you need to work on that, because good grammar is part of a good content.

A developer's technical blog should be used to post ideas, problems that you've solved, tech opinions, a giveaway of source code. Each time you explore a new technology that won't be used in your current job, that's a new opportunity for a new blog post/article. It won't matter if you're just getting into it, it's YOUR blog, and you are just writing down YOUR experiences.

Whether the readership comes, that's not terribly important. Use a developer technical blog for your own uses, and to help develop your own writing habits. Other developers may appreciate your content at some point, but don't start with that goal in mind. You can use this as a showcase to potential employers.

Hanselman has a great article on technical blogging. The video version of Hanselman's talk on Social Networking and blogging for Developers is more entertaining.

It sounds like the core of your problem/question is around answering questions in the interview. In this case, nerves may become a problem. Perhaps this will help.
