Hi, I am fed up with qwerty keyboard for programming. I am looking for a more convinent keymap. I tried learning dvorak. I see there are lot of versions of dvorak, which one should I use? Also, I heard about Bepo, is it an other keymap or just a version of dvorak?

If you are fed up with QWERTY, try Dvorak - there can't be simpler answer. You can't choose anymore, because there you have no more real options. If Dvorak suits you, use it, otherwise go back to QWERTY.

Personally I would try "The modern Dvorak Simplified Keyboard layout" - first image on the right in http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dvorak_Simplified_Keyboard . I have some friends that have done so, and they are happy. I am happy with my QWERTY keyboard as well. ;]

If you are thinking about change keymap because your programming effective is not in good standing, then you must searching solution in other way.

I think is keymap don't matter on programming speed, only you must know this keymap.
