Can I find out where do you search for code libraries on the web? Any specific websites or search engines to recommend?

I use both Google and Delicious. But depending on what you want to achieve, which language/platform you are using and the kind of problem you want to solve, you can have better luck by searching at certain specific websites.

- For XML/HTTP open source libraries, http://www.apache.org/
- For Linux development dependency libraries, command-line 'yum', 'apt-get', etc.
- For Perl libraries, http://www.cpan.org/
- For Java or general full-project open source solutions, http://www.sourceforge.net/
- For official libraries from Microsoft, http://msdn.microsoft.com/
- For .NET open source libraries, http://www.codeplex.com/
- For jQuery (Javascript) plug-ins, http://plugins.jquery.com/

depends. If you are working on PHP then phpclasses.org is a good place for it. for ruby (or ROR) http://rubyforge.org/, also github.org is a nice place in general
