I'd like a coffee mug to use at the office similar to those offered by thinkgeek.com, but without the exorbitant postage expense (the postage for a $9.99 mug is $22.45).

Does any one have any recommendations for a similar store in the UK, or for a store outside the UK without the astronomical postage?

If you read MicroMart they have some fairly large mugs. You can get a free one if subscribe to the magazine but I'm pretty sure they're available separately as well.

Edit: Actually you might be out of luck there - it looks like they're giving away image compression software now (from the magazine page) or a toolkit (online subscription).

Here's a tip that might get you one for free. The podcast .NET Rocks awards free mugs to people who mail in with interesting comments, which are then read during the show. Of course this requires a bit of effort and luck ;)

I love the caption! "... helping to maintain an optimal sipping environment for the duration of your scheduled refreshment period."

They aren't specifically geeky shops, but gadgety and postage is cheap....

Some ideas:

The colour-changing "On/Off" mug:

If you're a fan of Ubuntu Linux, this might be for you (I personally recommend this mug!)

The "Mug of Vi" is likely to turn a few heads, this one is U.S. only. I can't find it in the U.K, the closest is this "Vi reference mug" which doesn't look as good in my opinion.
