How should document be in deployment procedure and environment?

Dear all,

My boss required the deployment procedure and project environment document for a web project(.Net) from me and I'm not sure what it include or how it should look like to be.

the deployment procedure in my project has the topic like this:

1. Test Permission
2. Test Requirement
3. Merge Persist workflow task
4. Merge MS Project Export
5. End Test (Final Test)
   • Shutdown Service
6. Deploy
   • Backup Database (Backup Source)
   • Apply Database Migration
   • Copy Source code (including User Files)
   • Test

how the document should have details or content?

Either ask for an example/outline, or just send what you have and let him correct you. Sounds like he needs to do a little more management.
